The DELIVERY VEHICLE OWNERS AND DRIVERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA shall be ASSOCIATION advocating for a common goal of advancing members welfare.
(2) To bring together all Operators of Vehicle involved in the Conveyance or Delivery of Goods and Services.
(3) To fight in totality against multiple and illegal taxation on nigerian roads
(4) To ensure efficiency and crime- free delivery of Goods and Services.
(5) To partner with Government in revenue generation.
(6) To foster Unity and Progress among members.
(7) To regulate the activities of members.
REGISTRATIONS
The Delivery Vehicle Owners and Drivers Association of Nigeria (DELVAN) is an umbrella body that is in-charge of activities of Delivery Vehicles and its Operators (Drivers) in Nigeria.
It is a body that has fully complied with conditions under the companies and Allied Matters Act, 1 of 1990 and as such is duly registered with the Cooperate Affairs Commission (CAC) Abuja, as well as other legitimate Agencies and Ministries of local, state and Federal Republic of Nigeria.

For the Realization of its aims and objectives, the ASSOCIATION is partnering with the following:
(a) The Federal, State and Local Government Councils in Nigeria;

(2) The ASSOCIATION partners with all legitimate authorities and other agencies of Government for the smooth running of it’s affairs such as:
(a) the ASSOCIATION partners with Federal Road Safety Commission and Vehicle Inspection Officers for proper Licensing of our Vehicles, and Orientation Programmes of the ASSOCIATION.
(b) the ASSOCIATION partners with Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian Army, Nigerian Custom Service and Civil Defence Corp etc for absolute security of goods and services of the ASSOCIATION.
(c) the ASSOCIATION also partners with Nigerian Port Authority and ensure establishment of offices in all the Sea Ports in Nigeria for proper and efficient transportation and Safe delivery of goods to its destination in Nigeria and beyond.

REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD REGISTER YOUR DELIVERY VEHICLES WITH DELVAN
Delivery vehicle owners as well as the operators (Drivers/ conductors) are as important as Oil Workers in Nigeria. Delivery Vehicle and its services has contributed immensely (up to 67% growth) from our recent research to the Nigeria Economy and must be given serious attention, protection and recognition by the Local/State and Federal Government of Nigeria.
It is noted without prejudice that, without delivery vehicles and its operators (Drivers/Conductors), goods cannot be transported or conveyed from one part of the Country to another. This sector has assisted Government in providing job opportunities to the teaming youths and citizens of Nigeria.

This is unacceptable, hence we say capital “NO” to it.
It is in the light of the above, that we say it is high time we the OWNERS and DRIVERS of delivery vehicles started coming together to put a stop to all these illegal activities of touts/miscreants which sometimes cause so much PAINS as well as LOSS OF LIFE to our operators and a serious setback to our business.

BENEFITS AS DELVAN MEMBER
NO DELAYANCE: We ensure prompt response and solution to the needs and request of our members 24hrs of the day and 12months of the year anywhere in Nigeria. (i.e. in case of any contravention, the Association ensures that our vehicle cannot be delayed beyond 4hrs atmost for whatever reason anywhere in Nigeria).
2. SECURITY OF GOODS AND SERVICES: When you register your delivery vehicle with DELVAN the goods will be highly protected by our operations.
3. PROTECTION AGAINST MULTIPLE TAXATION: when you register your vehicle with DELVAN, legitimate Government papers will be issued alongside the registration, and we will ensure that no additional expenditures procured by the Company throughout the year. And in case of any Necessity-of-Expenditure (NoE), the Association will take it upon itself without any financial contribution from your company.
4. SECURITY OF LIFE: we ensure that our members are not exposed to danger in view of the prevalence security challenges in the country. (i.e. we go all out to make sure of the release of our vehicles and goods without the physical interventions by our members.
5. RECOGNITION: Branding of our Drivers and Vehicles with safety materials such as Emblem, ID card, Reflective jacket, etc. to ensure that they can be easily identified by the public and the Association through their dossiers in our data bank.
6. MONITORING TEAM: Provision of DELVAN Patrol Team to monitor our Vehicles, Drivers, as well as Goods from the point of loading to the point of delivery to ensure that contrabands and unauthorized goods are not carrying or hidden among the goods conveyed to anywhere in Nigeria.
7. TRAINING OF MEMBERS: During our annual safety week, your Drivers as well as Officials will be properly trained and lectured by the Officials of Government such as, States Commissioner for Transportations, FRSC, NPF, VIO, CUSTOM, ARMY etc. Also periodic seminar will be mounted to curb the excesses of Drivers recklessness.
8. ISSUANCE OF AWARDS: The Association in this case will ensure that your drivers as well as other Officials of your company who are well behaved are enlisted among the beneficiaries of our various awards with prices such as Best Driver’s Award (BDA), Best Company of the Year (BCY), Best Managing Director (BMDY) of the Year, Best Manager of the Year (BMY), etc.
9. PARKING LOT: Provision of parking space and towing vehicle in major towns across Nigeria for your convenience is also our priority to assist in case of any brake-down or accident of vehicle.
10. RECOVERY OF PROPERTIES: In case of any damage(s) of property such as tires and others by road tout or miscreant, the Association will ensure the recovery of such item(s) without any financial contribution from your Company, just as we recovered six brand new tires worth seven hundred and twenty thousand naira (720,000.00) only from revenue workers, IBENO L.G.A OF AKWA-IBOM STATE for Rufpris Ventures LTD in calabar cross river state.
